In the beginning there was not much more than a corn field. You see a 4 year old Jeremy here standing in what is now the pond. Behind him in the distance you can see the road and power pole in the field.

 

One of the first things we did to the property was plow away the corn stalks. At the time we knew little about what native grasses and plants to plant. We planted primarily grass seed and sweet clover.

 

 

The field begins to show signs of new life after being long abused as a corn field. In the beginning, clover was planted throughout the field to help rejuvenate the soil.
