Sunset Nature Preserve 90-06-20

Our first success in finding water was a mere 6 feet down. We tapped into the local water table using the equipment to the right. This provided us with an old-fashioned hand pump to get water for washing our hands. The water was still not suitable for drinking since it was coming from so close to the surface.

After realizing the hand pump sucked and we wanted more water in the area we brought out the big equipment. This truck is capable of drilling several hundred feet into the ground. We were hoping to hit the same artesian vein running into our neighbors pond.
